Week of December 3-7

Science Announcement - Our Unit 2 assessment on Light and Microscopes will be on Thursday, December 20 for Atlantic and Friday, December 21 for Pacific. These are the last two days before Winter Break. If you know you will be out those days, please arrange to take the test before you leave.

Our science discussions have been quite interesting this week! The students have been extremely inquisitive about radiant energy and the electromagnetic spectrum. While we discussed it for awhile in class, I thought I would provide some additional online resources for students to further explore the concept!

1. http://science.hq.nasa.gov/kids/imagers/ems/ - Here you can click on each segment of the spectrum to learn more about the different types of waves. This is the one that I think is the best.

Enjoy!
