Week of March 19-13

This week in Science... we are spending time in Kingdom Rotations learning about the characteristic of living things in each kingdom in a "Centers" format.

This week in Social Studies... we are exploring the structure of our Federal Government as outlined at the Constitutional Convention. We'll also explore the first 10 Amendments called the Bill of Rights that were added to the Constitution to protect individual rights. Lastly, we'll explore two political parties that emerged during the first two presidencies -- Federalists and the Democratic Republicans. Students should be reviewing their notes in their Social Studies Spiral and in their History Alive Workbook. The Unit 6 Test will be Monday, March 16.

This week in Math... we are continuing to explore the relationship between fractions, precents, and decimals. We are also looking at patterns formed with equivalent fractions and how to name a fraction it its lowest terms.
